Mask body count 1992
Produced for Ice T's thrash metal rock band. The mask was originally made for the bass guitarist of Body Count (D Roc) Who's stage image was accentuated by wearing polycarbonate hockey masks. The original polycarbonate mask of ' D Roc ' has been encased with the metal work shown. The product was styled under a ganster rap theme. Real but non live bullets and casings where used for the teeth and casket fittings which where gold and silver plated.

Mask interior stitched in place using 22 gauge copper wire. Lining heavily gold plated and engraved with maker details of the time. Jaw movable when worn.

hand forged self portrait in copper.
Mask casket crafted from English oak and furnished with fittings fashioned from bullet casings and cartridges all of which have been 2 micron gold plated.
Mask in 22 gauge copper. Produced from tooling taken directly from Artist's own face. The copper has been progressively beaten then annealed (softened) with small sections being removed as the copper begins to overlap itself in places. The gaps these create are then soldered closed .
Left; Above copper face mask has been patinated a second time with ammonia and common salt resulting in a beautful deep blue patina. Nose selectively cleaned and polished

Electro formed mask in solid silver with piertersite cabachons. Mask lined with plaster of paris and lined with fine plaster.
This example using client's own face to form patterns from. The forming procedure involves depositing silver onto face profile mould which is treated with electro conductive paint. After many hours a thick deposit of pure silver is achieved.
